eConsult is available 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday

Appointments

We offer pre bookable Routine appointments up to 3 weeks in advance. Our 48 hour (2 working days) appointments and on the day appointments are available to book from 8am.

Our telephone lines open at 8am Monday to Friday. We do not open our front doors until 8.15am, this allows all our receptionists to answer the incoming calls to enable patients to book the 48 hour and on the day appointments. These appointments do get booked quickly so would advise phoning or booking online as soon after 8am as possible.

48 hour/on the day appointments are available online from 8am each morning.

Medical Emergencies

If you have a medical condition that you feel would cause you harm if left untreated before the next available appointment you can phone 111 in surgery hours who will triage your medical condition and book an emergency appointment with us if appropriate. You will be given a time to come to the surgery on a sit and wait basis and will be seen by the next available doctor. You will not be able to request a particular doctor. Please remember that the doctor will be fitting you in to a fully booked clinic and there may be a wait. The doctor will only treat the emergency condition in this consultation and will ask you to re book a routine appointment to deal with anything they feel will not cause you harm if left untreated until the next available appointment. The doctor will not issue sick certificates etc on an emergency basis.

The local 111 service provides cover from 6.30pm to 8am, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. They will direct you to the most appropriate service.

Care Navigation

We prioritise your well-being and are committed to ensuring your needs are met by directing you to the most suitable and qualified service available.

Example: if you have knee pain, we will book an appointment with the surgery Physiotherapist.  This provides you with the ability to optimise your care by ensuring you receive personalised, expert attention from qualified physiotherapist, leading to improved outcomes and a positive healthcare experience.

Prescriptions

We only accept prescription requests in writing.  You are able to send them in the post, on a piece of paper and put through the letter box or by requesting online.  Please click on the link to register for ordering prescriptions online
