Meningitis Information 2026

Meningitis Information from Nurses

MEN B was introduced to the vaccine programme in September 2015. If your child was born before this, then it is unlikely that they have had it as part of the routine schedule unless sourced privately. If they are born after this, then it is likely they have already had it.

Children will have had MEN C (x3) as part of baby immunisations.

They should have had MEN ACWY (nimenrix) as part of an immunisation programme age 14 in the school.

We are not offering this vaccine as part of the NHS programme but if you would like your child to have it, then it must be sourced privately.
